Well, I know everyone thinks I have totally given up with the blog, but I haven't! I started back to work last Monday. The first week was really hard. I had become so used to my old schedule...playing with Braylen, feeding Braylen, catching up on chores around the house, etc. It was a big adjustment, but we made it! I want to say thank you so much to Nick's mom. She has been a lifesaver! She has watched Braylen nearly everyday since I started back and comes to our house, which makes it so much easier. She has been such a big help! Thank you Miss Pam!! Braylen seems to be adjusting well. He still has his really fussy time between about 4 and 6 pm, which hasn't worked out too well for Nick, since that is when he gets home from work! Once I get home, Nick and I eat dinner, then I get Braylen ready for bed. We have started feeding him some baby food fruit at night, and he loves it! I definitely think applesauce is his favorite right now. He will eat the whole container! Work is going well. I think it has been busier since before I left on maternity leave. But, it makes the days go by fast. Braylen and I had a little photo session in the yard last week, so here is a recent picture. I will try to update and post more pics on my days off!

"The Ray Charles"
Braylen has really been enjoying his "jumperoo". It is the first toy that he really stays interested in. It is nice for me because I can get things done while he is "jumping" away! Braylen does this crazy thing with his head that me and Nick have named the "Ray Charles". He bobs his head back and forth all the time, sometimes it seems to go with the music on his jumperoo. Today he accidently bobbed his head too far forward and smacked it on the front of the jumperoo. He let out some kind of cry, but seemed to get over it pretty quickly! No knot or bruise to show for it, thankfully. 5 minutes later, he was back to jumping away!
Aunt Bridget came to visit this past weekend. We had such a great time together- catching up, laughing, and playing with Braylen. She definitely learned a lot about newborn babies while she was here. She helped feed him, bathe him, and put him to bed. She was a huge help to have around. I just wish she lived closer and could visit more often. Braylen and I were both sad to see her go home. While she was here, she got to meet some of the other local babies that are around Braylen's age - Ollie Dubose and Ocean Reeves. She was surprised at how many of my friends have babies about the same age. We did get a quick picture of Ollie and Braylen together. Who knows, one day it could be on display at their wedding :)

Sweet Little Braylen
Braylen is really growing! At his last doctor's visit he weighed 9 lbs 10 oz! His legs are getting so long! My favorite thing that he does is smile. He has really started looking directly at you and actually grinning. Sometimes he even laughs out loud. It brings tears to my eyes each time he does it. It just melts your heart. Even though I really have no idea if I am doing anything right, I know that I must be to make him smile like that. It really is a special, special time. I have gotten so spoiled spending everyday with him. I don't know what I will do when I start back to work. It is definitely going to be hard. I still have 2 more weeks to spend every day with him. I am definitely going to make the most of it. Hope you enjoy the latest pictures. His new entertainment is the jumperoo. It seems to really entertain him and keep his attention. His little feet just haven't mastered the whole jumping aspect yet!

Isn't he a cutie?!!
Labor Day weekend is about over. We have had a busy one. Braylen has watched a lot of college football this weekend. I guess it was enough to put him to sleep, because last night he slept from 7:30 until 6 this morning! Nick and I didn't know what to do with a full night sleep:)! Hope everyone is doing great. I just had to post this picture!

Family Time
Wednesday, Braylen and I ate lunch with Nick's mother and granny at Tabby D's. Braylen was just a smiling at Granny, which I think made her day! Yesterday, Nick, Braylen, and I went to Auburn to celebrate Iva's birthday (my grandmother). We were able to visit with Bridget, my dad, and my aunt as well. Braylen did pretty well on the way there, but was not happy the whole way home. Car trips can definitely be trying when a baby is screaming non-stop in the backseat. We were all pretty exhausted when we got home!
Last night, Braylen watched his first college football game over at Jeffrey Douglas' house. Of course he didn't do much watching, since he was so tired from the trip, but we will still call it a first! We also got Braylen and Grover's first picture together. I just had to post some of these pictures for everyone to see!
